Chief Executive Officer – Real Estate and Infrastructure
We are seeking to identify a Chief Executive Officer for our client, a US based real estate company which is a JV between a leading real estate firm and one of the world's largest financial organisations. The firm is in the process of setting up an Indian company that will develop large scale retail properties by entering into JV's with Indian firms. They are currently looking for a Country Head who will start, staff, manage and grow their fully owned subsidiary in the country.
Following a focused strategy of acquiring, developing and operating well-located retail properties, our client is today one of the most successful private real estate companies since their inception in 1996. They have completed more than 60 property transactions valued at more than $1billion. In addition, they operate a third-party property management and leasing business that helps the company cultivate tenant relations, increase tenant leverage and optimize operating economies of scale.
Your Profile
You must be a dynamic professional with a background in construction, having worked at the top management levels of a professional organization. You must have exposure to contemporary technology and management techniques in the industry, including global best practices. You must source and manage profitable retail development projects and maintain strong relationships with all involved (from architects to engineers to brokers, buyers to sellers). You should preferably be a Civil Engineer from a premier institute with a management degree and at least 15-20 years of post qualification experience. Cross-functional exposure is essential.
The Opportunity
The company is currently pursuing opportunities for retail real estate developments and property acquisitions in the global marketplace. India is a potential market and one of the last few countries where there is primary demand for real estate and they have initial plans for an investment portfolio of over US $ 800 million here, in the next 3 years. As the CEO, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and management to the organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the group, execute the company’s operational plans to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, client satisfaction, cash flow and build a profitable, successful and highly visible company.
