Head - Platform Marketing, Mobile Internet : World leader
We are seeking to identify an experienced professional who will build and own a developer community around the given software platforms of this world leader.
Our client is the worlds leading mobile phone company with undisputed market leadership. As a part of the dynamics of this evolving industry, the company is currently transforming itself into a major entity in the Internet space. As their consumer increasingly moves to the data and services space on the internet, they will create the connectivity and offerings to keep them engaged. To ensure this, the company is making several strategic moves, including the creation of enabling software platforms and communities around them that will result in the development of sufficient options for their consumers across the world. The position we are seeking to recruit will be responsible for one of the critical pieces in this transformation for India, which is their second largest market in the world.
The Role
This is a technology evangelizing and marketing role which will be responsible for strategizing, targeting, branding, positioning and communicating the platforms with a view to creating and keeping engaged a dynamic developer community. You will establish awareness by driving higher visibility n the market and build mindshare, increasing market coverage, and implementing demand generation programs. You will own and manage their presence at regional industry, customer and partner events. You will work closely with APAC regional marketing Manager in tailoring communications and outbound messaging and deliverables. The position will report into the Head of Developer Relations APAC,
Your profile
You should preferably have a Technology or Management degree from a reputed institute with 10-12 years of post qualification experience preferably with technology companies in a similiar role. Experience in managing events, strategic and tactical campaign deployment and outbound relationship management would be required. Excellent organizational skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is essential. Marketing experience in mobile application/content development or aggregator business and experience working with developer community would be an asset.
