Head - Merger Accounting : Global Telecom Leader, Europe
We are seeking to recruit a senior Accounting professional with experience in Merger Accounting, to start and head an M&A accounting team for a world leader, at their global headquarters in Europe. The company is one of the world's leading telecom organisations which is currently in the process of acquiring and integrating several niche technology companies across the world with itself and needs a qualified professional with international level expertise.
The Role
You will establish and head the global M & A accounting function for the organization. Acting as the accounting expert in M&A activities you will be responsible for the financial integration of acquired companies. You will also be involved in decision making for purchase consideration and purchase price allocation, in the pre-acquisition stage. The position offers tremendous global exposure and an opportunity to be part of one of the world's largest telecom organizations.
Your Profile
You must be Chartered Accountant with 10-12 years experience in accounting and reporting, including substantial senior level exposure to merger integration. High quality experience with publicly listed international companies or one of the 'Big 4' audit firms is essential. Knowledge of IAS, IFRS and/or US GAAP is essential for this role.
